Vaibhav Suryavanshi (born 27 March 2011) is an Indian cricketer, who plays for Bihar in domestic cricket and Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. He is a left-handed batsman that made his first-class debut in January 2024. He is known as the youngest Indian List A debutant as well as the youngest to debut in the Indian Premier League.
Early Life:
He was born on 27 March 2011 in Tajpur, Samastipur district of Bihar, India, and started playing cricket at four years old when he was initially coached by his father. He joined a cricket academy in Samastipur at the age of nine.

He played as a twelve-year- old child for Bihar’s under-19 side in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy.
He made his first-class debut for Bihar against Mumbai at the reported age of 12 years and 284 days old in January 2024, thereby becoming the second youngest cricketer to play in the Ranji Trophy for Bihar and fourth youngest overall. He is known to be the youngest player in the modern era surpassing the record held by Yuvraj Singh (15 years and 57 days), with Alimuddin holding the overall record for the youngest Indian first-class debutant at just 12 years and 73 days old in 1942-43 season for Rajputana.
In November 2024, he became the youngest player to debut in T20 cricket at 13 years and 241 days when he made his debut for Bihar against Rajasthan.
In December 2024, he also became the youngest Indian player to play List A cricket for Bihar against Madhya Pradesh in the 2024–25 Vijay Hazare Trophy, at 13 years and 269 days.
He played for the India B under-19 side in a quadrangular series in 2023, where he scored 177 runs in six innings, with two half-centuries.
Suryavanshi made his debut for India under-19 in September 2024 against Australia under-19s. He scored a 58-ball century on his under-19 Test debut which is the fastest for an India under-19 player and finished with 104 after being run out. It was the second-fastest century in under-19 international cricket.
He scored 76 off 46 balls against UAE under-19s, and 67 runs from 36 balls against Sri Lanka in the semi-final, at the 2024 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup.

In November 2024, He became the youngest player in history to sign an Indian Premier League deal after he was picked up by the Rajasthan Royals at 13 years of age for ₹1.1 crore (US$130,000).
On 19 April 2025, he made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals against Lucknow Super Giants at the age of 14 years and 23 days, setting the record for the youngest debutant in IPL history. He is also the first IPL player to be born after the inception of IPL in 2008. He scored 34 runs off 20 balls in his debut IPL match, including a six on the first ball.
On 28 April 2025, he became the youngest player in IPL history to score a century, and he also was the second youngest player in IPL history to score the fastest century in his match against Gujarat Titans at the age of 14 years 32 days. He was the fastest Indian player to do so. Other major records he has set include the youngest ever to score a 50 in the IPL, the youngest player to have a 50 plus score in all formats of T20’s, most sixes hit by an Indian player in an innings of an IPL match tied with Murali Vijay, and fastest 100 scored by an Indian in the IPL (35 balls).

Questions have been raised regarding the validity of Suryavanshi’s claimed date of birth. In a 2023 interview he claimed that he was born on 27 September 2009, when he was going to claim his 14th birthday. This means he may be about a year and a half older than his passport age of 13.
